Honouring Dhamma Lineages and Teachers

I am a student of primarily Theravada Buddhism. I am especially touched by the dedication of Dipa Ma who devoted her life to teaching meditation to many in Asia and the United States. She brought meditation to women in Kolkata, as they carried out their daily work for their families, in their homes. May we honour South Asian and South East Asian Buddhist teachers who have continued to share the Dhamma as a path to liberation taught to them by their ancestors. May I continue to reflect on the ways to remember all of my teachers. May we all commit to supporting the liberation of all beings, while respecting the histories, traditions, and cultures from where they came.

“The daughters of the Buddha are fearless.” Dipa Ma
